Sierra College produced this video demonstrating the impact of Sierra Makerspaces on our students, faculty and campus communities. Sierra College formed partnerships with private community makerspaces in Rocklin, Truckee and Nevada County to effectively connect students and faculty to the local maker community. Mini-makerspaces were also established on campuses and new maker curriculum was developed for math, psychology and other courses. In addition, new entrepreneurship courses and certificates were created. Students developed as leaders and instructors as a result of being part of the makerspace implementation team, participating in internships, hosting maker events and taking on assistant coach responsibilities during the CCC Maker Makermatic Team Internship.

We appreciate all the members of the Sierra Makerspaces team and students who contributed to this effort as well as our community makerspace partners. A special thanks to Truckee Roundhouse and Hacker Lab for allowing us to film at their spaces.
We appreciate Daryl Stinchfield who took many of the still photos used. Thanks to Michelle Zamora, a leader with the Sacramento City College Makerspace, for producing this visual story to share how Sierra College students and faculty are experiencing the amazing impact of makerspaces.
